Background

Andrew R. Eisemann concentrates his practice on protecting the legal and financial interests of health care facilities in multiple states in the areas of creditors’ rights, liquidation of accounts receivable, Medicaid eligibility, collections, and commercial litigation.  He has extensive experience in Debtor and Creditor Law, Bankruptcy Law, Contracts, and Veterans’ Rights and Benefits.  Mr. Eisemann frequently writes and lectures on subjects related to collections and management of accounts receivable for health care facilities.  He was previously an Attorney at the Law Offices of Markian R. Slobodian in Harrisburg where he practiced in civil litigation, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy law.  He represented numerous creditors, debtors, and a Chapter 7 Trustee in Bankruptcy Court. He also previously served a two-year term as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Edward Guido of Cumberland County.

Military:  Mr. Eisemann recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army with 27 years of Regular Army and Active Reserve service in Field Artillery and Special Operations, including multiple assignments overseas and a deployment to Iraq.

Positions and Accomplishments

Mr. Eisemann is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania State Courts, New York State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and the U.S. Court of Veterans’ Appeals in Washington, D.C.  He a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, New York Bar Association, and the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association.  He serves as the Chairman Emeritus of the Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Health Care Law Committee.  In 2007, the PBA recognized Mr. Eisemann with its Leadership Award.  In 2011, Mr. Eisemann was selected by his legal peers and the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine for the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list. Eisemann also serves as Counsel for the Carlisle Summer Program for Youth.

Education

Mr. Eisemann earned his law degree at the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Eisemann’s educational background also includes a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Troy State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Southern Connecticut State University.  He obtained a Regular Army Officer Commission through the University of Connecticut in 1984.  As a law student, Mr. Eisemann served as a Senior Editor of the Dickinson Law Review and as a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board.
