Background

Donna Desfor, Esq. began her legal career in 1990 with Bethlehem Steel Corporation in their Real Estate Services Division and Environmental Group.  She focused on the successful negotiation and sale of company assets and managed the leasing of mineral rights for their coal mining division.  In 1994 and joined Buchanan Ingersoll in Philadelphia, PA, concentrating her practice in transactional work, assisting clients in the acquiring and selling of industrial properties.  She became skilled at negotiating reasonable choices and providing creative solutions for her clients within the tough parameters of the environmental regulatory framework.  In 1998 she moved to the Harrisburg area and joined a Philadelphia-based engineering/consulting firm to provide public policy development and guidance around the changing environmental regulations for highway and bridge construction, and real estate development. 

Desfor received her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. Prior to that she earned her B.S. in political science with minors in both history and philosophy from Millersville University.  During that time she studied international business abroad at Oxford University, Mansfield College, in Oxford England.

Desfor is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania State Courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Desfor has been published in Corporate Counsel Quarterly, and has moderated and participated in environmental educational programs.  For the past 15-years, while maintaining her professional license to practice law, she has become a media specialist, appearing on television and radio.  She currently sits as board president for the nationally-renowned and world-recognized Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
